Dr. Suryakanta Nayak (PhD, IIT Kharagpur, India)

Dr. Suryakanta Nayak has received his PhD degree from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India.

Currently, he is working as a Principal Researcher at R&D, Tata Steel Limited, Jamshedpur, India. Prior to his current position, he worked as a Research Fellow with Prof. Aaron Voon-Yew Thean Link 1, Link 2 [Deputy President (Academic Affairs) and Provost, National University of Singapore (NUS)]. He worked in Prof. Thean's research group from October 2016 to June 2020. During the above time, he led three research projects in Prof. Thean's research group. He also served as a chemical safety leader in the group. He also mentored three final year B.Tech projects with Prof. Aaron Thean. In NUS, he also worked with Dr. Soo Jin Adrian Koh (Link), Mechanical Engineering, National University of Singapore (October 2014 to September 2016) as a Research Fellow.
